Certified units

The BMS integrates the existing mathematics Research Training Groups (RTGs) and International Max Planck Research Schools (IMPRSs) in mathematics as well as the Collaborative Research Centers as certified units that provide the research environment and supervision for Phase II students.

RTG "Facets of Complexity" (RTG 2434)
IRTG Stochastic Analysis in Interaction (IRTG 2544)
DFG Collaborative Research Center "Control of self-organizing nonlinear systems" (SFB 910)
DFG Collaborative Research Center "Discretization in Geometry and Dynamics" (SFB/TRR 109)

Associated units

The integration of associated units follow the same model as certified units. But as associated units usually encompass more than mathematics only the groups working in mathematics are cooperating.

DFG Collaborative Research Center "Scaling Cascades in Complex Systems" (SFB 1114)
DFG Collaborative Research Center "Data Assimilation" (SFB 1294)
DFG Collaborative Research Center "Mathematical Modelling, Simulation and Optimization Using the Example of Gas Networks" (SFB/TRR 154)
Geosim
IMPRS for Mathematical and Physical Aspects of Gravitation, Cosmology and Quantum Field Theory
IRTG "High Dimensional Non Stationary Time Series"
PharMetrX
RTG "DAEDALUS"
